A Golden Gate Homecoming

Incredible to return to San Francisco with Choral Chameleon, led by another SF Conservatory alum, Vince Peterson. We presented a program called “Mind” about the inner-workings of the musician, and featuring some fantastic new work by Joe Stillwell (an old classmate!), Rex Isenberg, and Adam Ward (of Chanticleer), plus an old favorite from my friend David Conte.

We also led workshops for students of the SF Arts Ed project and spent a long day in residency developing and premiering 12 student choral pieces as part of the Conservatory’s biennial Choral Composition Competition. And I got to attend my cousin’s wedding on top of it all!

You can catch a reprise performance of the MIND concert June 10th at National Sawdust in Brooklyn, where Choral Chameleon is an ensemble-in-residence.
